Availability of Police Reports:

Most police reports require an approval process that may take three to five business days.

Per Colorado State Statute, some reports, or certain information contained therein, are not available for public release.  These include:

  • At-risk adults

  • Juveniles

  • Sex Assaults

  • Child Abuse

  • On-going police investigations


If a case is currently being prosecuted by the Douglas County District Attorney’s office, the report will need to be requested thru the DA’s office.

Traffic Accidents:

Most traffic accident reports can be released upon request a minimum of 3-5 business days after the accident, provided there were no injuries to any person involved.  Injury-related accident requests require an approval process and may take up to five business days.

Photographs - 911 recordings - Videos: 

All are provided on CD/DVD and processing time may take up to two weeks.

The Lone Tree Police Department Records Section is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.  We are closed all major holidays.  We accept cash, check, and major credit cards for payment.

Please call LTPD Records for a cost of the record. Make checks payable to The City of Lone Tree. All fees are non-refundable.

We do not accept requests by fax or email as payment is required prior to processing the request.
