Commissions, Boards and Committees Appointment Process
If you like being in-the-know and giving input that impacts your community, serving on one of the City’s commissions or committees is the perfect opportunity for you. Volunteerism is one of our community’s greatest assets! We rely on residents to help shape the community and assist in making decisions that impact the parks we play in, the roads we drive on, the neighborhoods we live in, and so much more!
Each August-September (May-June for Youth Commission) we seek civic minded residents to serve on their Commissions, Boards and Committees (CBCs). Interviews are conducted in October (July for the Youth Commission) with appointments being made no later than the 1st Council meeting in December (2nd meeting in August for the Youth Commission).
The City of Lone Tree currently has six citizen-based CBCs on which over 35 citizens serve. The current CBCs are: Arts Commission, Audit Committee, Board of Adjustment & Appeals, Citizens' Recreation Advisory Committee, Planning Commission and Youth Commission.
