Each dog owner within the City shall obtain and maintain a current rabies certificate and tag
issued by a licensed veterinarian for each dog that he or she owns. Each dog must possess a current
certificate and tag by the time the animal is five (5) months old, or within one (1) month of being
brought in to the City if the animal is over five (5) months old. Every dog required to have a tag shall
wear it at all times. The tag shall be the City license. (City of Lone Tree Municipal Code Sec. 10-7-30)

It is unlawful for any person to have, own, possess, keep, exercise control over, maintain, harbor, transport or sell within the City Of Lone Tree any Pit Bull. Pit Bulls living in the City Of Lone Tree prior to February 18, 2006 who were registered and are allowed to stay. Annual registration is required. There are additional restrictions made on the owners of these dogs. Once these dogs die or move away the owners cannot obtain other Pit Bulls.
