The purpose of the Lone Tree Public Art Program is to stimulate, enhance, expand and enrich awareness about the arts in the community by encouraging a variety of public art within the City.

The program is intended to:
  • Contribute to civic pride in our community

  • Enrich the environment through visual arts

  • Increase public access to works of art

  • Promote art awareness

A unique characteristic of public art is its constant availability to all residents and visitors to enjoy at their leisure.

Current Projects 
Douglas County Art Encounters is an annual outdoor sculpture exhibit that showcases local artists and a variety of sculptures in highly visible areas in Lone Tree, Parker, Highlands Ranch and Castle Rock. The project is designed to promote public interest in art, develop community pride and draw visitors to Douglas County. The public is invited to view the art in the program and vote for your favorite piece. View sculptures installed in Lone Tree. Artists are encouraged to submit entries in January of each year.
