Board of Adjustment and Appeals

The Board of Adjustment and Appeals may grant variances from The Municipal Code, Chapter 16, Zoning. The Board may also hear and decide appeals from and any administrative order, requirement, decision or determination made by an administrative official charged with the enforcement of zoning, or made by the building official relative to the application of Chapter 18, Building Regulations. The Board is made up of five members appointed by the City Council.

Apply to be on a Commission, Board or Committee

From now until December 1, we are accepting applications for 2025 appointments to all CBCs. Applications are collected annually and are kept on file for one year to fill any vacancies that may arise during that period. When a vacancy occurs, City Council will review the applications and invite selected individuals for interviews. Applications submitted when there are no openings will be considered when an opening occurs.
