Youth Commission

The City Council established the Youth Commission in 2009. The Commission is comprised of not more than nine and not less than five members, all of whom are residents of Lone Tree and are currently enrolled in 8th -12th grade. Members are appointed by the City Council for two-year staggered terms.

The Youth Commission’s purpose is to act in an advisory capacity to the City of Lone Tree’s City Council on matters pertaining to the youth and teen population in the area. Meetings are held twice a month. Commissioners work together on an annual project as well as get a chance to learn about how local government functions.
