LTPD’s Volunteers in Police Services (VIPS) program was established in 2007 to promote the effective use Lone Tree citizens who wish to donate their time and talents to further the goals of the Department. The mission of the VIPS is to serve as a support service to the Department, and enhance the effectiveness of community policing through the provision of administrative and support services.

We request that our volunteers serve on average four volunteer hours per week to the agency throughout the year. Some of the assignment opportunities include:

  • Customer Service/Records Specialists
  • Community Partnership Unit Assistant
  • Patrol Support
  • Special Projects Assistant
  • Victim Services Advocate
