The City, in collaboration with Douglas County and CDOT, has recently finalized the design for a new multi-purpose bridge at the intersection of Acres Green and Parkway Drive. The project encompasses the development and building of a pedestrian and bicycle overpass spanning Acres Green Drive. This bridge will link to the current trail crossing along C-470, ensuring a safe means of crossing Acres Green Drive. Currently, the trail along C-470 involves a crossing at-grade with Acres Green Drive.
Apart from the bridge, the intersection of Acres Green and Parkway will undergo an overhaul, transforming from a two-way stop into a full signal equipped with updated ADA ramps and audible pushbuttons.
