Our Citizens Police Academy is designed to provide participants a behind-the-scenes look into police work and improve partnerships between the police and the community in a fun and educational setting.
As a participant in the Citizen’s Police Academy, participants will:
- Get to know your police officers
- Drive a patrol car
- Search a building for criminals
- Investigate a mock crime scene
- Try on SWAT gear
- Watch a K-9 demonstration
- Practice roadside maneuvers
- De-escalate a crisis
- Conduct a mock traffic stop
