Business Licenses
All businesses operating in the City of Lone Tree must obtain a Business License or a Retail Sales & Use Tax License. This includes professional services, charitable organizations, home businesses and temporary vendors. To apply for a new license, click here.
Liquor Licenses
Liquor licensing in Colorado is a dual licensure, requiring both the City and the State to approve a liquor license application for a liquor license to be granted. Start here to apply for a new liquor license.

Tobacco Licenses
To sell tobacco products in the city of Lone Tree, a retailer must have both a city and state retail tobacco license. For a city retail tobacco license, complete the application and pay the initial fee of $250. The license will need to be renewed annually each December with a renewal application and fee of $200.
The Colorado Department of Revenue Liquor and Tobacco Enforcement Division has its own application process for retail tobacco licenses. To apply for the state license, visit the Colorado Department of Revenue webpage here.
Massage Facility Licenses
All businesses operating in the City of Lone Tree providing massage service must obtain a massage facility license. A full application includes the complete application document, individual history completed by owners, operators, and employees, and signed affidavit. Fees can be paid through this form.

Food Truck Operation
The following licenses are required to operate a mobile food vending unit in the City of Lone Tree:
- City of Lone Tree Temporary Use Permit
- City of Lone Tree Business Retail Sales/Use Tax Licenses
- State of Colorado Retail Food Establishment License
- Douglas County Health Department Retail Food License
The vendor must display a State of Colorado Mobile Retail Food Establishment sticker. Applications are only accepted electronically through our portal.
