Join the City for a hands-on Arbor Day event focused on strengthening our local tree canopy and connecting the community to the benefits of urban forestry.
Throughout the morning, community members will have the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and help plant 15 trees on-site, contributing directly to a greener, healthier environment. In addition to planting, volunteers can assist with mulching and learn proper tree planting techniques to help trees thrive long after they’re in the ground.
A total of 85 trees will be available for community members. Those who volunteer to help plant and mulch trees will be first in line to receive a free tree to take home, while supplies last.
The event will also include educational opportunities on topics such as Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) and best practices for successful tree care. Whether you’re new to tree planting or already have a green thumb, there’s something to learn and take home.
