Lone Tree Urban Renewal Authority

The Lone Tree Urban Renewal Authority (LTURA) was established by the City of Lone Tree under Colorado’s Urban Renewal Law to encourage redevelopment and reinvestment in targeted areas of the City. LTURA focuses on revitalizing underutilized or aging properties and improving infrastructure to create conditions that attract private investment and advance Lone Tree’s long-term vision for growth and vitality.

LTURA helps development by:

  • Implements urban renewal plans adopted by City Council
  • Finances public improvements (like roads, utilities, and public spaces) that make redevelopment possible
  • Uses tax increment financing (TIF) to reinvest a portion of future property or sales tax growth back into the project area
  • Partners with developers and businesses to encourage projects that bring economic vitality, jobs, and new amenities to Lone Tree.
  • Supports community priorities such as walkability, vibrant mixed-use areas, and sustainable growth
