The City of Lone Tree celebrated the opening of its new Justice Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 8. The 37,324-square-foot facility brings the Lone Tree Police Department and Municipal Court together in one modern, purpose-built building.

Located at 12707 High Note Avenue, near RidgeGate Parkway and High Note Avenue, the Justice Center was designed to meet the community’s current needs while preparing for Lone Tree’s future.

“This Justice Center gives our Police Department and Municipal Court a modern facility they need to serve our community and protect the quality of life that makes Lone Tree such a special place to live, work and visit,” said Mayor Marissa Harmon.

The new facility provides expanded space for police operations, training, administration, community programs and court proceedings. It also includes modern technology and security systems, improved public access, and expanded parking and pedestrian connections.

Municipal Court, which was previously located in the Lone Tree Civic Center in a residential neighborhood, now has a dedicated space designed specifically for court operations. The move provides a more appropriate setting for court users, staff and legal proceedings.

The Justice Center also features public plaza areas, landscaped outdoor spaces, a native demonstration garden and ample natural light throughout public and staff areas. A 2,900-square-foot solar canopy is part of the City’s effort to incorporate sustainable features into the facility.

The land for the Justice Center was donated to the City by Coventry Development as part of the RidgeGate development. The facility is located near the City’s new Public Works facility and High Note Park, which is currently under construction. Together, these projects are creating a new area for the City.

The Justice Center opened to the public on September 14. Front desk services for the Police Department and Municipal Court are available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For emergencies, call 9-1-1. For non-emergency police matters, call 303-799-0533. Municipal Court staff can be reached at 303-339-8177. The first Municipal Court session at the new facility will be held October 8.
