Chaplain
The Lone Tree Police Department has a dedicated Chaplain on our team since 2022. Our Chaplain, Kent Higgins, provides confidential emotional and spiritual support to officers, department staff, and community members during times of crisis, loss, or stress.
Our police chaplain offers support in several important areas, including:
- Officer wellness and peer support
- Spiritual and emotional care
- Community engagement and crisis response
- Referrals to mental health professionals or faith leaders when needed
Chaplain Higgins plays a key role in promoting wellness within the department and strengthening relationships with the community. He offers compassionate care, a listening ear, and guidance—regardless of faith or background.
In 2025, Chaplain Higgins was honored as Chaplain of the Year by the Rocky Mountain Police and Fire Chaplains Association (RMPFC), recognizing his exceptional service and commitment.
