This is a proposal for a Major Site Improvement Plan (SIP) Amendment that would allow for the construction of a building addition at the existing location of the Ascent Classical Academy of Douglas County at 10004 Park Meadows Drive. The building addition is proposed to be constructed south of the existing building in the location of an existing parking lot, and the building addition will contain a gymnasium and some additional classroom space. Other site improvements are proposed including utility relocations, pedestrian improvements, and landscaping. The Major SIP Amendment proposal also includes a Traffic Study that incorporates a revised on-site traffic management plan that is proposed to better accommodate vehicular traffic associated with student pick-up/drop-off without impacts to the surrounding street network.
