Project Overview and Purpose
The S. Havana Street Bikeway Project will construct an essential missing link in the regional bikeway network, improving safety and multimodal connectivity for people walking and biking along the Havana Street corridor. The project adds dedicated bicycle facilities and pedestrian improvements to better connect Douglas County and the City of Lone Tree to regional transit and key community destinations, including Schweiger Ranch and Tall Tales Ranch. As part of the safety and access improvements, the project will also introduce a new high-visibility, fully signalized intersection designed to improve safe, direct access to RTD facilities and enhance multimodal crossing opportunities along the corridor.

Project Limits and Location Map
Along S. Havana Street from Rail Way to Surrey Drive.

What to Expect During Construction (Traffic, Access, Impacts)
During construction, the public may experience temporary impacts such as lane shifts, traffic delays, construction noise, and short-term sidewalk or bikeway closures. ADA-compliant pedestrian and bicycle access will be maintained through the corridor, with signed detours provided as needed. No nighttime construction is anticipated.
