Spring and Fall Yard Clean-Up

Since all waste must be included in your trash containers as part of the City’s contract with Waste Connections, the City is offering an annual clean-up of yard waste for residents of single-family homes in the spring and fall.

Residents who receive free trash service from the City can place their yard waste, including leaves and tree branches out with their regularly scheduled trash day for pick up only during four designated weeks in the spring and fall. Yard waste bags and branches may be left next to bins during this time for pickup.

Materials Accepted for Disposal During Spring Yard Clean-Up:
  • Five (5) bundles of tree branches per week. The length of branches can be no longer than four (4) feet and must be bundled together or placed into a container.
  • Ten (10) bags of yard waste per week. Each bag or container should not weigh more than 40 pounds.

Schedule for 2026

Spring Schedule

  • Week of May 4
  • Week of May 11
  • Week of May 18
  • Week of May 25

Fall Schedule

Fall clean-up will take place in October or November, beginning 1-2 weeks after leaves start to fall. This approach will allow the City, through Waste Connections, to provide more efficient service and better coordinate with seasonal conditions. Exact dates will be shared closer to the event via a mailer delivered to every household in the City.
