The Lone Tree Youth Commission is proud to recognize Rajah Saju as this year’s Outstanding Youth Award recipient. Chosen from a competitive pool of applicants, Rajah exemplifies the qualities at the heart of this award: leadership, service, character, and a strong potential to create positive change.

A senior at Rock Canyon High School, Rajah has demonstrated exceptional leadership through both academic and extracurricular achievement. The Selection Committee was especially impressed by Rajah’s extensive, hands-on experience in veterinary medicine and her genuine passion for animals. Through her work at Lone Tree Veterinary Medical Center, she gained over 100 hours of clinical experience while supporting both patients and their owners. Sharing her reflections on this work revealed a deep sense of compassion, maturity, and integrity—recognizing that caring for animals also means supporting the people who love them.

Beyond her achievements, Rajah consistently demonstrates a commitment to serving others, whether through volunteer work, mentoring peers, or pursuing opportunities that expand her impact. Her thoughtful approach to leadership and clear vision for her future in veterinary medicine reflect a strong potential to continue making meaningful contributions to the community.

Rajah embodies the spirit of the Outstanding Youth Award—leading with purpose, acting with compassion, and striving to make a difference. The Youth Commission is honored to recognize her and looks forward to the positive impact she will continue to make in Lone Tree and beyond.
