This is a proposal for the development of a new City of Lone Tree Justice Center, which will be a new public facility housing both the City’s Police Department and Municipal Court. The proposal includes the development of a new Justice Center building, plaza spaces, landscaping, parking lots, and sidewalk connections to surrounding public streets. The Justice Center site will be accessed from an extension of High Note Avenue to the north of RidgeGate Parkway (westbound). The High Note Avenue street extension is being coordinated to be constructed together with the Justice Center building. The Justice Center site is part of the RidgeGate Parkway Couplet District as identified within the RidgeGate East Villages Sub-Area Plan.
The City of Lone Tree continues to embark on two significant capital projects of its own with the construction of a new Justice Center and Public Works Operations facility. The new Justice Center will offer a more efficient layout, modern technology integration, and expanded spaces for legal proceedings, law enforcement, and community programs. This upgrade will enhance service delivery and ensure that Lone Tree’s justice system operates smoothly.
Both facilities will be located on the land donated to the City by Coventry Development as part of the RidgeGate development. This land, situated on the east side of I-25, will host the new Justice Center, Public Works Operations facility, and be home to the future High Note Regional Park.
The City’s Justice Center will house both the Police Department and the Municipal Court, which is relocating from the Civic Center located in a residential neighborhood to a more suitable location.
The Justice Center is set to be a key hub for the City’s legal system, offering expanded facilities for community programs, courtrooms, offices, and law enforcement personnel with higher caseloads and an increased need for judicial and law enforcement services because of the City’s growth. The project will provide a secure and accessible space for citizens focusing on addressing growth efficiency and public safety and security.
