We’re expecting more snow tonight and into tomorrow than we’ve seen from any other storm this season! With low temps and 4″-7″ expected in Lone Tree, be sure to take it slow, stay warm, and watch this page for updates on impacts to City services. We’ll edit this post to add updates as we get them:

2/3 & 2/4 Trash & Recycling Collection Correction

2/3 & 2/4 Trash Collection Correction. There is a service correction for trash and recycling service for the remainder of this week. Unlike previously stated, Waste Connections is going to make an attempt to pick up all trash and recycling on the regularly scheduled trash day for Thursday and Friday pickups. If they are unable to collect on your regularly scheduled day, leave your container out and they will pick it up the next day.

• Regularly scheduled Wednesday pickups will be collected today (2/3).
• Regularly scheduled Thursday pickups will be attempted today (2/3). If Waste Connections is unable to pick up all Thursday households today they will collect remaining containers on Friday (2/4).
• Regularly scheduled Friday pickups will be attempted on Friday (2/4). If Waste Connections is unable to pick up all Friday households on Friday they will collect remaining containers on Saturday (2/5).

As of 7:00am Wednesday (2/2):

  • Waste Connections has delayed trash and recycling service this week. This means that if your regular scheduled pickup day is Wednesday-Friday your trash will be picked up one day later than normal as Waste Connections recovers from not being able to provide service today.

As of 7:30pm Tuesday (2/1):

  • City offices will delay opening in-person until 10am. Staff will be working during the delay, including answering calls to the City’s main phone line. Police and plowing operations are never effected by closures or delays.
As of 1:30pm Tuesday (2/1):
  • Our plowing crews are ramped up and ready to go, but roads are still expected to be slick due to the low temperatures.
  • Link on Demand will delay starting service Wednesday until 10am.
  • The COVID testing sites at both Sky Ridge Medical Center and Park Meadows will delay opening until 10am Wednesday.
