A Special Day for Our Tree City

The City of Lone Tree is thrilled to announce a special celebration of Arbor Day 2023! Join us for a day of education, community, and free trees. Douglas County Master Gardeners will be on hand to provide valuable insights into the world of gardening and tree care, while we also pay tribute to the City’s first elected City Clerk, Emma Lou Wilson, who planted the official “Lone Tree” at Yosemite St and Lone Tree Pkwy.

Registration Required

Please let us know you’ll be joining us so we can ensure we have enough trees for everyone!

Pick Up a Free Bare Root Tree

In addition to learning and socializing, attendees will have the opportunity to receive one of two types of trees, completely free of charge! These bare root trees are approximately 3-4 feet tall and the width of a finger or two. While small in size now, they will eventually grow to be between 15-30 feet tall and 10-20 feet wide. With their manageable size, these trees are easy to establish and require less water compared to larger trees.

Available Bare Root Trees:

  • Robinson Crabapple
  • Spring Snow Crabapple
