The City of Lone Tree Municipal Election slated for May 5, 2020 was canceled. According to State and City laws, a Municipal Election can be canceled if there is only one candidate per office and there are no other election matters for Lone Tree voters to decide on by close of business on the 64th day before the election, which was March 2, 2020.
Therefore, incumbents Jackie Millet, Cathie Brunnick and Wynne Shaw were re-elected for a second term to Mayor, Council Member District 2 and Council Member District 1 respectively. The incumbents began their second 4-year term after they were sworn in during the regular Council Meeting on May 19, 2020.
