2024 City Council Appointment Application – District 1

THE APPLICATION PERIOD HAS NOW CLOSED.

Due to the results of the May 7 City Council Election and Mayor-Elect Harmon’s current seat being vacated, the City’s Home Rule Charter requires the incoming City Council to make an appointment to fill the vacancy. There is only a vacancy in District 1, no applications are being accepted for residents in District 2.

Interested individuals may apply for the vacancy if they meet these criteria:

• Citizen of the United States
• At least 25 years of age on or before May 7, 2024
• Registered elector
• Has resided in District 1 for at least one year preceding May 7, 2024 (View the Council District map here)
• Has not been convicted of a felony
