As a safety improvement project, the City applied for and received funding to upgrade the current span wire signals along County Line Road to poles and mast arms. The City received a $486,500 Highway Safety Improvement Program Grant to support this project. Pedestrian improvements will also be included using the latest industry-standard audio push button and pedestrian head technology. The City applied for construction-only funding and will manage the engineering design separately.
The signals designated for upgrade are:
- County Line Road & Parkway Drive
- County Line Road and Acres Green Drive
- County Line Road and Willow Street
The project went to bid in Q1 2023, with proposals from five firms. Ultimately, the Lone Tree City Council awarded the contract to Benesch and Company at the March 7, 2023 City Council regular meeting.
The project is slated to be fully completed by 2025.
