Sweetwater Park includes the addresses of 8300 & 1/2 Sweetwater Rd., as wells as 125 Maximus Dr. The existing park is located south of Maximus Dr. and west of S. Yosemite St.

In June of 2023, the City of Lone Tree approved a petition from South Suburban Parks and Recreation District to annex Sweetwater Park into the City of Lone Tree. Now that the park is within Lone Tree city limits, the park must be officially included in Lone Tree’s Zoning Map. No changes to the park are proposed; the park will remain a public park and will be zoned Parks and Open Space. South Suburban Parks and Recreation District will continue to operate and maintain the park.

This proposal will be heard by the Planning Commission on October 24, 2023. The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Lone Tree Civic Center in the City Council Chambers, 8527 Lone Tree Pkwy., 80124.
