RTD

From September 2023 to August 2023, bus and train will be free for riders ages 19 and younger.

RTD Announced earlier this month that rides on light rail and bus will come at no cost for teens as they welcome a future generation of transit users to experience the benefits of public transportation.

Zero Fare for Youth is a one-year pilot program that, according to RTD, “aims to enhance the lives of customers and communities by reducing the transportation costs for families.” RTD also claims the program will also remove barriers to education and employment while creating access to destinations across the metro Denver region.

Light rail in Lone Tree

Lone Tree families can take advantage of the programs by boarding the train at one of the City’s five light rail stations: RidgeGate Station, Lone Tree City Center Station, Sky Ridge Station, Lincoln Station, and County Line Station.

Families looking to travel within City limits can use Lone Tree’s free on-demand shuttle service, Link on Demand.
