temp signs

The City has standards for temporary signs to protect public safety and reduce visual clutter. Temporary signs include garage sale, open house, for sale, and political signs.

Temporary signs may not be placed on public property including within street rights-of-way. This includes traffic medians, sidewalks, interstate ramps, parks, open spaces, trails, and on utility poles and boxes.

Single family residences may have up to 9 square feet of cumulative sign area per street frontage, with signs being limited to 6 feet in height.

Ground penetrating signs are allowed on single-family residential property. Temporary signs may be placed on private property with permission from the property owner. Signs must be maintained, clean, and in good repair.
