Below is the latest information on who can receive the COVID-19 vaccine and how.

  • Individuals over 70 years old are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Appointment availability is based on vaccine availability, and it may still take until the end of February for all those 70 and up to get appointments and vaccinations, so please be patient. To find a provider and join the appointment list, call Tri-County Health Department (TCHD) at 303-220-9200 or click here.
  • Teachers are encouraged to work with their employer to get the vaccine. The TCHD School Task Force is working with school districts to ensure they know how to get the vaccine.
  • Child care staff will be able to self-schedule with vaccine providers, including TCHD clinics, healthcare provider offices, and pharmacies. TCHD will not be matching child care providers to a vaccine site at this time.
  • Community Based Organizations that are interested in hosting vaccine clinics or supporting their communities with navigation can attend an informational webinar Feb. 16, from 3-4 p.m. For registration information and the interest form, please click here.
  • Vaccine providers in the TCHD’s area currently have the capacity to provide 130,000 vaccines a week once vaccine supply meets vaccine demand. While it is exciting that teachers, licensed childcare providers, and those who are 65+ are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 Vaccine, TCHD recently received guidance from the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) for TCHD to continue to prioritize the thousands of healthcare workers and first responders that have not been vaccinated yet.  You can review TCHD’s Strategy to Ensure Equitable COVID-19 Vaccine Access to learn more about their specific plan to ensure equitable access and distribution of the vaccine to communities of color and other groups who have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic.
