Highlands Ranch High School student Sabrina Ng is awarded the 2022 Outstanding Youth of Lone Tree Award and poses with Lone Tree City Council and Youth Commission.

At the November 1, 2022 Lone Tree City Council Meeting, Mayor Jackie Millet and members of City Council recognized Sabrina Ng as the 2022 recipient of the Outstanding Youth of Lone Tree Award. The award recognizes past leadership accomplishments, potential for leadership, and strength of character. Ng was selected from a incredibly competitive pool of applicants by members of the City of Lone Tree Youth Commission and Council Members Marissa Harmon and Cathie Frazzini. Canvas Credit Union Vice President for Community Engagement Malcolm Johnson was also on hand to celebrate Sabrina’s accomplishments.

The Outstanding Youth of Lone Tree Award, created in 2011, is given annually to young men and women in Lone Tree who demonstrate leadership through community service or other outstanding accomplishments in academics, arts and culture, social action, or personal triumph. Along with City-wide recognition, winners of the award are also given $1,000 thanks to a partnership between Canvas Credit Union and the City of Lone Tree.

Sabrina is currently a Senior at Highlands Ranch High School where she is a National Merit Semifinalist with a grade point average (GPA) above a 4.0. As a junior, she was named the Art, Math, and Social Studies Student of the Year. Additionally, Sabrina has served as the Vice-President of the National Honor Society, CO-President of the National Art Honor Society, President of Homework Club, and Mu Alpha Theta (a Math Honor Society for high school and 2-year college students). Ng also volunteers at the library, the Eagle Ridge Elementary Science Fair, and serves on the Sustainability and Recreation Club at Highlands Ranch High School.

Congratulations, Sabrina! Thank you for being an incredible representative for all young people in Lone Tree!
