Hello Lone Tree,
Thoughts of gratitude hold a special place in American hearts during November and thankfulness certainly captures how I feel this month! Seeing our dedicated LTPD on patrol, Public Works crews maintain City streets, and “Gina’s” trash truck rumbling through Lone Tree neighborhoods brought an especially large smile to my face last week. City Council could not be more grateful to our residents for their strong support of ballot measure 2E.
Passage of 2E confirmed our residents’ commitment to budget priorities that have been foundational to Lone Tree’s reputation as one of Colorado’s premier communities. The City’s consistent investment in public safety, capital infrastructure and maintenance, and high-quality amenities and service levels have enhanced the desirability of our community and strengthened our property values. Strong citizen support of 2E also acknowledges and validates the outstanding efforts of the talented, professional Lone Tree staff who are committed to excellence, integrity and service.
While official results will be provided later this month, current tallies show the ballot measure passed with nearly 60% of the vote – WOW! There are many people who played an important role in the success of 2E, most notably the Citizens for Lone Tree’s Future committee, former Mayors and Councilmembers, engaged Lone Tree residents, members of the Lone Tree business community, and the Lone Tree City Council and staff. This victory was the result of your collective efforts walking neighborhoods, waving signs, speaking to friends and neighbors, hosting gatherings, and donating time and money to ensure Lone Tree continues to thrive. The passion put into action for our City was inspiring!
City Council truly appreciates the confidence and trust you placed in your local government, and we will honor that trust with continued financial transparency and accountability. “We the people” have chosen the path forward for Lone Tree and I could not be more grateful and excited for the City’s bright future.
Happy Thanksgiving and thank you, Lone Tree!
